Delta Governor’s Adviser Dies Amid Domestic Dispute: Details

Chief Love Shimite Bello, Special Adviser on Trade and Export to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, tragically passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, under circumstances that have raised serious concerns. She was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital in Asaba, where she was pronounced dead.

Reports suggest that her husband, Pastor David Favour Love, may have been involved in her death. Some sources allege that she was poisoned during a minor quarrel. Witnesses claimed she was foaming at the mouth before her death. The police have placed her husband in protective custody—not under arrest—after he reported her death and expressed concerns about threats from her family.

The Delta State Police Command has launched a full investigation, including an autopsy, to determine the exact cause of death. Governor Oborevwori has expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Chief Bello as an accomplished and charismatic political figure whose contributions to the state will be deeply missed.

As the investigation continues, the public awaits further details to understand the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
